Cloud Network Architect / Engineer - Leading Buy-side Firm - J12467

We are seeking an experienced Cloud & Hybrid Network Architect to design and deliver secure, high-performance network solutions across cloud and hybrid environments. You will own cloud-native and hybrid network architectures, ensure resilience and scalability, and drive automation and best practices across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement cloud network architectures on Azure, AWS, or GCP, including VNet/VPC design, routing, segmentation, and inter-region connectivity.

• Architect hybrid connectivity across cloud, colocation, exchanges, and offices using SD-WAN, Direct Connect / ExpressRoute / Cloud Interconnect, and secure VPNs.

• Ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and optimized performance for latency-sensitive workloads, with capacity planning and monitoring.

• Lead hands-on implementation using infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Bicep, CloudFormation) and promote network automation and standardization.

• Embed security-by-design, zero-trust, and least-privilege principles into network solutions, collaborating closely with cybersecurity teams.

• Support trading, quant, and application teams with secure, reliable connectivity to market data and external services.

• Own architecture standards, documentation, and technical guidance while mentoring engineers and influencing best practices.

Requirements:

• 8–12+ years in network engineering or architecture, with strong cloud/hybrid networking experience.

• Hands-on expertise with at least one major cloud provider (Azure, AWS, GCP) including VNet/VPC design, routing, private connectivity, load balancing, and firewalls.

• Strong foundation in routing, switching, redundancy, and multi-region architectures.

• Experience with network automation, IaC, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Excellent communication skills and ability to convey complex designs to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Pragmatic, outcome-focused, and comfortable in fast-paced, high-change environments.

Preferred:

• Experience with latency-sensitive or trading workloads in cloud.

• Familiarity with service mesh, container networking, or private PaaS networking.

• Relevant certifications (Azure Network Engineer, AWS Advanced Networking, CCIE/JNCIE).
