Front-office Application Support - Leading Investment Bank

Our client, a Leading Investment Bank, is looking for Front-Office Application Support. The successful candidate will provide technical expertise and operational support for critical trading platforms and front-office applications.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on support for front-office trading applications, ensuring availability, reliability, and optimal performance.

  • Identify, analyze, and resolve technical issues in a timely manner while adhering to incident management processes.

  • Work closely with traders, sales teams, and other front-office stakeholders to address application-related queries and issues.

  • Conduct post-incident reviews and implement solutions to prevent the recurrence of issues.

  • Utilize monitoring tools to proactively detect and address potential system issues.

  • Support the deployment of application upgrades and enhancements, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.

  • Maintain accurate documentation for systems, workflows, and incident resolutions.

  • Ensure that applications operate within regulatory guidelines and standards.

 

Key Qualification

  • Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix systems and scripting (Shell, Python, etc.).

  • Proficiency in database management and SQL queries.

  • Familiarity with network protocols and application monitoring tools (e.g., AppDynamics, Splunk).

  • Understanding of front-office trading systems and workflows (e.g., Equities, Fixed Income, FX).

  • Experience working with Order Management Systems (OMS) or Risk Management platforms.

  • Excellent communication skills to interact with non-technical users and technical teams.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to manage high-pressure situations and meet strict deadlines.

  • Previous experience in a similar application support role within an investment banking or financial services environment.
