Our client, a leading investment bank, is looking for strong programmers/ data engineers for their Global Market Data Models and Governance team, and data transformation team. Successful candidates will work closely with traders, quants, and controllers to deliver data governance/ risk management/post-trade analysis tools.

Key Responsibilities:
Leverage the firm’s APIs, modeling, analytics, data visualization, and trading tools for financial terms representation
Improve user/developer experience, through making the data modeling process seamless, providing connections to new types of databases, improving modeling language itself, or optimizing query execution time.
Build highly scalable data models catering to financial terms, risk management, and trade processing flows for a wide range of products, models, and asset classes
Partner with front-office users including trading strategies and controllers for effective risk management of front-to-back
Maintain strict governance and standards on the usage of transaction data and models
Drive adoption of Cloud technology for data processing and warehousing

Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Strong proficiency in at least 1 major programming language, with knowledge of popular design patterns and algorithms
2-3 years of experience working with at least one derivative asset class product, system, tools, and processes
Strong communication in English, and collaboration skills to work effectively within a team environment.
Strong quantitative and analytical skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Understanding of multidimensionality of data, data curation, and data quality, such as traceability, security, performance latency, and correctness across supply and demand processes
Functional programming experience
SQL/ databases knowledge
More than one financial asset class
Awareness around Derivatives Regulatory Reforms
