Our client, a leading global investment bank, is seeking a highly capable IT Project Manager to lead and deliver strategic Cash Management initiatives across the APAC region. This role will focus on driving complex projects that enhance transaction banking capabilities, including payments, liquidity, reconciliation, and integration with treasury platforms.
You will work closely with business stakeholders, technology teams, operations, and external vendors to ensure timely delivery of high-impact solutions aligned with regulatory and business priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead end-to-end delivery of cash management IT projects, including scoping, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure
Manage cross-functional project teams, including developers, business analysts, QA, and infrastructure
Serve as the key liaison between business users, product owners, and technology teams
Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business objectives in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders
Track project milestones, budgets, and resource utilization, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards
Manage risks, issues, and dependencies proactively and escalate when necessary
Prepare and present regular project updates and dashboards to senior stakeholders
Ensure alignment with global cash management strategy and compliance with internal governance and external regulatory requirements
Drive process improvements and advocate best practices in project delivery, Agile/Waterfall methodologies, and change management
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field
7+ years of experience in IT project management, preferably within an investment bank or financial institution
Strong understanding of cash management, payments, liquidity, and treasury systems
Proven experience in delivering large-scale technology projects in a complex, regulated environment
Solid knowledge of SDLC methodologies (Agile/Scrum and Waterfall)
PMP, Prince2, or Agile certification preferred
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage senior business and technology stakeholders
Experience working with third-party vendors and integration projects is a plus
Knowledge of Swift, ISO 20022, host-to-host connectivity, and regional payment schemes (FAST, RTGS, CHATS, etc.) is highly advantageous
