Our client, a leading Banking Group, is rapidly expanding their technology team in Singapore and is currently looking for an IT Security / Cyber Security Engineer to support Cyber Security functions. The successful candidate will join a global team and be a part of large-scale expansion and growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in monitoring security alerts and incidents, and work with the team to respond effectively to security threats.
Participate in vulnerability assessments and penetration testing activities to identify and remediate security weaknesses.
Support efforts to raise security awareness among employees by helping with training initiatives and communications.
Assist in the development and enforcement of security policies, standards, and procedures.
Gain familiarity with security tools and technologies used for monitoring, intrusion detection, and prevention.
Maintain accurate documentation of security procedures, incidents, and responses.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security best practices are integrated into projects and systems.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field.
Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles and concepts.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Eagerness to learn and develop new skills in the field of cybersecurity.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Familiarity with security tools and technologies is a plus.
Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)) are a bonus but not required for entry-level candidates.
