Senior Cloud Security Engineer - Leading Financial Firm

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Cloud Security Engineer to join their team and play a critical role in securing their cloud infrastructure. This is a hands-on position that requires deep expertise in AWS security best practices, Terraform for infrastructure as code (IaC), and Python for automation and security tooling. The ideal candidate will have strong experience designing and implementing cloud security solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain cloud security controls to protect AWS environments.

• Develop and enforce security policies and best practices for cloud infrastructure.

• Utilize Terraform to manage and automate cloud security configurations.

• Write and maintain Python scripts for security automation, monitoring, and compliance.

• Conduct threat modeling, risk assessments, and security audits for cloud services.

• Implement and manage Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) solutions.

• Collaborate with DevOps, engineering, and security teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines.

• Monitor, investigate, and respond to security incidents and vulnerabilities in AWS.

• Implement and manage identity and access management (IAM) policies.

• Stay up to date with the latest cloud security trends, vulnerabilities, and solutions.

Key Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience in cloud security, with a focus on AWS.

• Strong expertise in AWS security services (e.g., IAM, GuardDuty, Security Hub, KMS, WAF).

• Hands-on experience with Terraform for managing cloud infrastructure as code.

• Proficiency in Python for scripting and automation.

• Experience with security monitoring, logging, and incident response in cloud environments.

• Knowledge of Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) tools.

• Knowledge of network security, encryption, and compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST).

• Familiarity with container security (e.g., Kubernetes, AWS Fargate, EKS) is a plus.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a security-first mindset.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
