We are seeking a Senior Purchaser with hands-on experience in electronics component sourcing who can operate independently and manage supply uncertainty effectively.

This role focuses on owning key component categories and ensuring supply continuity across both active production and NPI programs. You will work closely with Engineering, Planning, and Operations to balance cost, lead time, and supply risk in a dynamic electronics environment.

Key Responsibilities
Own Electronics Categories
Manage sourcing of components, including PCB/PCBA, semiconductors, ICs, and connectors
Evaluate trade-offs across cost, MOQ, and lead time
Identify risks such as single-source dependencies and long lead-time items
Â
Manage Supply Volatility
Monitor lead-time trends, allocation risks, and demand fluctuations
Align procurement strategies with Planning forecasts
Execute mitigation plans during shortages or constrained supply
Â
Execute with Discipline
Validate BOMs, part numbers, and AVL alignment before PO release
Maintain accurate data in ERP systems (lead time, MOQ, supplier info)
Support Engineering during NPI and revision changes
Â
Supplier Management
Track on-time delivery and supplier performance
Lead discussions to address performance gaps
Escalate risks early to prevent production disruption
Â
Process Improvement
Identify gaps in procurement workflows
Improve data accuracy and execution discipline
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements
5–8 years of procurement experience in electronics or hardware manufacturing
Proven experience sourcing PCB/PCBA, semiconductors, ICs, and connectors
Familiar with semiconductor cycles, allocation, and supply shortages
Strong understanding of BOM structures, NPI, and revision control
Experience with EMS/contract manufacturers is an advantage
Strong negotiation skills (pricing and delivery terms)
Proficient in ERP systems (NetSuite or equivalent preferred)
Able to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong communication skills across cross-functional teams

Additional Requirement
Mandarin (spoken)Â is required as the majority of suppliers are based in China
(Non-Chinese candidates who can communicate in Mandarin are welcome. Written Chinese is not required.)
